Volunteering
We always need a helping hand. Whether it is exercising animals, marshalling at an event, cleaning, painting, collecting, dropping or dozens of other tasks - we value the help of our community. You can help in the following ways.
Fundraising
Limerick Animal Welfare is a charity and, with costs of more than €80,000 per month we rely heavily on public donations to stay running.
It takes constant fundraising to rescue and care for the countless animals that come to us every year and very single day volunteers work tirelessly to ensure we continue to receive the funding that is vital to our work.
Corporate Days
Planning a Sports and Social outing for your firm? Have you considered a day of volunteering? Its great for teambuilding and its great fun too!! If you would like to organise a corporate day with us please get in touch. We always have some work that needs doing!
SOS! Support Our Shops!
Did you know Limerick Animal Welfare has three charity shops in Limerick City? As well as serving as a vital coordination point for our activities in the city, the shops also raise much needed funds. You can help by bringing any surplus goods you have at home or at work that can be resold. For more details about our shops see our Shops Page
Get Inventive!
You name it and it is likely that our volunteers have organised it! We have had raffles, coffee mornings, fashion shows, sponsored parachute jumps, sponsored cycles, auctions and a fundraising BBQ. We also have regular fundraising events including our Doggy Day, Christmas Swim, Open Day, sponsored Dog Walk, street collections, supermarket bag-packing dates and churchgate collections.
However, Your help is vital. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas!! If you have a fundraising idea or would just like to help out at one of our fundraisers please do get in touch.

We are very thankful that volunteering is a popular thing to do and very personally rewarding.
We rely heavily on volunteers to aid us in fundraising and in the day to day running of the Animal Sanctuary in Kilfinane Co Limerick. We also rely on volunteers to staff our two charity shops in Limerick City
